Musings and moanings

Or, No I haven't forgotten about this place at all.

Well I guess it's official now, summer is now over in my case. I'm back in my apartment again after being at my parents and school starts on Monday. Hooray.
I am kinda disappointed though, because my new flatmate hadn't even moved in when I arrived. Maybe he'll arrive later. Or maybe not at all. Who knows.
What I am glad over is that I'm finally onto the last real semester before I can actually graduate and unless things complicate (which I'm sure will happen) my studies will be over by the start of next year or so. Well that's the plan at least.
But studying PR to get into the gaming industry when I really can't do any programming at all has to be one of the most convoluted plans I've ever come up with.
Will it work in the end? I haven't gotten a clue. Especially since a casual browsing of the job market seems pretty slim on that line of work right now. (Anyone know any gaming companies hiring? :P)

And to my old classmates that graduated last semester I have this message,
Go suck dicks and I hope I never see you again.

That felt surprisingly good to get off my chest actually.
And if you're wondering, no that wasn't because they graduated ahead of me.  It's for other reasons.

Anyway, I won't bore anyone with any amazing stories of my exciting summer adventures. (Hint: there barely was any.)
Well okay that was a bit of a lie I guess since I did go on the Distant Worlds concert in Stockholm and had one helluva enjoyable time there. Not to mention a really enjoyable midsummers party as well. (It was really odd to learn that the girl I spent most of the night talking to about stuff turned out to suffering from some psychological issues the day after. Especially seeing as she was really nice.)
(Yes, you can now make a lonely nerd joke if you so wish.)
Spent a couple of weeks working as well towards the end, horribly boring stuff. But the money is going for a good cause at least. A new graphics card for my computer and books.
Otherwise I've spent my summer working, some gaming, some reading and that's about it. Pretty exciting stuff eh?

Yeah I thought so as well

On a different note I can really recommend Justina Robson's Quantum Gravity series. Really good Fantasy meets Real Life stuff. Now I just need to get the rest of the books. Like my list of To Get stuff isn't big enough as it is.
Oh and the new A-Team movie is pretty good as well. (Pretty fun seeing that one alone in an almost empty cinema.)
And the HTC Desire is pretty damn sweet as well. Although the battery time seems a bit lackluster.
